If so, why can’t I label rows as well as columns (which I’d do with th)?
Next step: strip the XSL-FO crap from this. It takes a PGN (do not confuse with PNG) representation of a game in a simple XML format. Unfortunately the ‘real’ ChessML is a lot more complex. On the plus side, ChessGames.com doesn’t use ChessML, but PGN.
Micro-update, a little later still.
Plus you could use JavaScript and the DOM to make it playable. That would require id attributes on the table cells, though.
But now I’m going to sleep. This morning I had an extremely strange sleep-related experience, and would rather not repeat.
