Finally (almost) everything is working. I need to sort out some issues with MIME types for XSL and my RDF/RSS generator. Once that’s done I can probably release it. I know that text/xsl works in IE, but Firebird doesn’t seem to like it. Right now I can’t be bothered because I’ve had to fix so much other stuff.
Actually, that’s a lie. I’m going to sort out some CSS stuff first, then I’m going to give up and watch the England match. We’re playing Slovakia and we need a win, which we should get. The match in Slovakia last year was played on an absolutely awful pitch but we won 2-1. This time, I’d like to see us play lots of players who will run at people. Players like Vassell, Barry (oh no, he’s been dropped because he’s left footed), Hargreaves, Rooney, and Joe Cole. Obviously we won’t play all of them, what with The Untouchable Scholes and The Surprising Phil Neville looking likely to start.
Talking about this lets me place this entry in the sport category. And tomorrow, after the certain poor performance, I can rant. I need at least one entry in each category or things will break everywhere. Once that’s done I can post normally, sort of. This is one of those bugs that isn’t really, because the workaround is to post under some constraints for a few days then do whatever I like. If I was releasing the code for this software — which I’m not, because it’s site-specific and also rubbish — this wouldn’t be acceptable, but I can deal.
The match starts in just over half an hour, the coverage fifteen minutes before that. It’s on the BBC, so no ads, which means I’ll watch it from the start.
