Well, it’s out, and the series’ legions of fans are already hacking away.
Extraordinarily useful little utility. It seems that one of the reasons the demo was so large was that all the team and kit data was included. Unzip to your directory, and run. Select two teams and a match length, then click ‘apply patches’ . Start the game, and it doesn’t matter which teams you pick in-game, because they’re already chosen.
Many small fixes, with the game obviously having been snuck out the door from under the noses of the coders.
If you plan to patch team kits, etc., you’ll need this.
You’d have hoped that Konami didn’t do this, but they did. Editing players has to be done by using the joypad (or keyboard equivalent). You can’t just type the player names in using the keys on the keyboard. Although this process is good enough on a console, and can actually be rather speedy, PCs have the edge here. This person from PES3.de has done the hard work so you don’t have to.
